Update: We do have electricity at the observatory! ! Sunset is 8:43 PM

So plan to stay late. Brighter stars will become visible at around 9:15  plus the planet Venus.

You are invited to join us Friday June 23 for our Guests and Members observing night at our observatory. Weather permitting, we will have several telescopes set up for you to enjoy views of the hidden treasures in the night sky.  When approaching a telescope ask the owner if they are willing to share the views.

Come celebrate the beginning of summer with us.   This time we have a special treat.  A five day old waxing crescent moon hands high in the sky in the constellation of Leo the Lion.  Brilliant Venus shines in the western sky with dimmer Mars nearby.   The Big Dipper is high overhead.   Later in the evening the stars of the summer triangle begin to risen in the NE.
