You are invited to join us Saturday November 4th  for our Guests and Members observing night at our observatory. Weather permitting, we will have several telescopes set up for you to enjoy a summer evening under the stars.  When approaching a telescope ask the owner if they are willing to share the views. You will also have an opportunity to visit the telescope in our observatory dome.

Late Autumn temperatures often drop quickly after dark in rural areas. A warm jacket, cap and gloves are recommended.  Your feet will appreciate Warm Closed toed shoes.   Bring along something to drink and maybe a light energy snack.   We do have a restroom and a classroom area to relax and visit a bit.

The Autumn sky and galaxies are well placed overhead.   Saturn with its rings is ready for viewing as soon as it gets dark.  Bright Jupiter with its four Galilean moons is closest to Earth in November and up all night.   The planet Uranus is nearby and visible in telescopes

PLEASE NOTE: If adverse weather is nearby we may cancel or close earlier.
