You are invited to join us Saturday April 15th for our Guests and Members observing night at our observatory.  Weather permitting, we will have several telescopes set up for you to enjoy views of the spring sky.  The constellations of the spring sky are becoming prominent in the sky.  Ursa Major with its Big Dipper asterism are high in the north.  Gemini and the late winter sky are still visible in the SW. The realm of galaxies in Leo and Virgo are high in the south.  Venus shines brightly in the west as our evening star and we may be able to view the planet Mercury near the horizon shortly after sunset.

 

PLEASE NOTE: If nighttime temperature is extremely cold, or severe storms nearby we may cancel or close earlier.  
             Dress warmly – Our Rural area can be much colder after dark.

Our observing ground gates will open at 7:30 PM. Guests are asked to park on the lot at the large building next to our observing field. Springtime temperatures can be unpredictable so you may need a jacket later in the evening.  Please try to arrive before 8:15 PM.  


  

We are asking you to RSVP ( preferably by Friday evening if possible ) by using our CONTACT TAB option on the TOP of our website bar. This will help us be better prepared to help you. Small family or friends’ groups are welcome, but we cannot accommodate large groups at this time. Children MUST be supervised. Quiet activities for restless kids are beneficial.

DONATIONS box is available to help us with the expenses of the observatory.
Suggested Donation is $ 5 per adult, $ 2 Kids under 6 Free. – Cash is best way.

   Covid & Flu are still of some concern - So we are asking you choose a future date if you or your family are ill. 
When approaching a telescope ask the owner if they are willing to share the views.
