NOTE: Meeting starts at 7:00  Building is open by 6:30 or so  

Due to the closing of the Jenks Planetarium we have partnered with the Tulsa Air and Space Museum Planetarium to hold our general monthly meetings, which are open to the members, and guest from the public are also invited to attend.  At our meetings you can enjoy presentations on topics like current space exploration, astronomical events and special guest speakers, or live guest speakers via zoom meetings. You can learn more about past, present, and future club events and activities.    

On this month's agenda...

The Astronomy Club of Tulsa is excited to welcome everyone to our first in-person meeting at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum’s James E. Bertelsmeyer Planetarium! Whether you’re a longtime club member, brand new to astronomy, or have simply been curious about what the Astronomy Club of Tulsa is all about, this is a great opportunity to come out and get involved.

We’ve had a busy summer! From public observing events and community outreach to Astronomy on Tap, new partnerships, and exciting developments happening behind the scenes with the club and our observatory, there’s a lot to catch up on.

At this meeting, we’ll take a look back at the summer, introduce you to some of the members who make the club what it is, talk about where we’re headed this fall, observing programs, telescope updates, what's in the sky, and share some of the opportunities coming up for members and the community. 

Also, one of our club members will have a short program to introduce us to the constellation of Scutum for his public outreach requirements towards one of those Astronomical League observing programs.
