If Jenks school system is closed due to weather the meeting will be cancelled.
NOTE: We have been notified that the elevator is not currently functional and guests will need to use the stairs to access the planetarium, which is on the 3rd floor. This may cause issues for some who are unable to use the stairs.
NOTE: Meeting starts at 7:00 Building is open by 6:30 or so
Each Month during the school year our club holds a general meeting open to both our members and guests. We meet in the spacious Jenks High School Planetarium which has ample space for social distancing. At our meetings you can enjoy presentations topics such as current space exploration, astronomical events and on occasion we get the opportunity to preview the latest planetarium production the students are working on. You also can learn more about past, present, and future club events and activities.
Agenda
Introductions, Programs "Cloud Chasing a Blood Moon" by Brad Young, and "How to Use The Sky as a Calendar" by Dan Zielinski, and a planetarium tour of the March night skies.
LOCATION
The Jenks Planetarium is located at 205 East B St.
Look for the Big White dome on top of the Math and Science building.
When you enter the building take the elevator to the Planetarium on the third floor.
Parking is on the west side of the building. If that lot is full there is more on the east side.
