About Our Club
We are a non-profit, tax exempt, organization actively serving the astronomy community in the Tulsa and surrounding area communities for over fifty years. Our purpose is to provide members and the public with a place to share knowledge about the night sky. We own and operate our own observatory SW of Tulsa near Mounds, OK. Read more about us here: We also publish monthly newsletters available here. Here is a link to our December 2025 newsletter.

During the school term we have our monthly In-Person club meetings at the
Jenks High School Planetarium. At the meetings we conduct club business, have guest speakers and presentations, talk about what's up in the night sky currently, and what's coming in the future. Guests and potential new members are always welcome to join us.

Our next scheduled club meeting is January 9th, 2026 at 7pm

Our Club Events

Do you ever want to get away from the glow of the bright city lights to look up at the night sky? The Astronomy Club of Tulsa and its members would like to invite you to the darker skies at our observatory. You don't need a telescope or binoculars, just let us know you are coming and you can look through our telescopes. Each month we try to schedule observing opportunities at our dark sky site observatory located SW of Tulsa. We schedule a Guest and Members Night the weekend near the 3rd quarter moon.  Our Members Only Night occurs on the weekend nearest the New Moon, allowing our members to have time to work on observing projects and exchange ideas with each other.  Additionally, we schedule public events in our local communities such as Hunter Park in Tulsa, Case Community Center in Sand Springs, and the Keystone Ancient Forest near Keystone Lake. More details are available on our EVENTS PAGE

**NOTE: The observatory is only open at scheduled event times**
