Each Month during the school year our club holds a general meeting open to both our members and guests.  We meet in the spacious Jenks High School Planetarium which has ample space for social distancing.  At our meetings you can enjoy presentations topics such as current space exploration, astronomical events and on occasion we get the opportunity to preview the latest planetarium production the students are working on. You also can learn more about past, present, and future club events and activities.

Our Guest speaker will be Mike Grogan certified meteorologist on FOX 23 Severe Weather Team.

Mike will be sharing insights on the weather and how it impacts our astronomy observing.  Mike is also an astronomy enthusiast.  He has a weekly FOX 23 SKYWATCH special telling about events in the sky and often promotes our Astronomy Club events.

Mike is a native Tulsan and certified meteorologist on the FOX23 Severe Weather Team. From tornado outbreaks to winter storms, he has forecasted it all in Tulsa since April 2011.  In 2008, Mike earned his meteorology degree, graduating cum laude from Valparaiso University in Indiana. Since then, Mike has been a member of the American Meteorological Society, currently serving as an officer in the Route 66 AMS chapter. He is also a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist through the AMS.  Learn more about Scott
