Public Outreach
Would your group like to
have an observing session?
We are a non-profit
organization dedicated to educating the public on the art and science of
astronomy.
Scout groups, school groups, church groups, and any other group that
is interested in observing can contact our Group Director,
You may want to come out to our observatory or we can come to you with our telescopes.
The younger observers are usually interested in observing the moon, planets, and a few other
objects that can be observed even with some interference with the city lights.
Our volunteers can meet at your site and set up telescopes to guide the students
while observing.
When you contact Teresa let her know:

The number of students in your group
Approximate ages
How many adults will be supervising
Are you working
on anything specific for your group in astronomy?

As the time approaches for
your session, you will be sent our general rules/procedures for observing along
with a map to the observatory.
Donations are appreciated. Recommended donation
for a group session is $1 per person.
