General Meeting - The Sky We Don't See - Planetarium Show

1/26/2018 7:00 PM

Club members will have an opportunity to review the latest production of Jenks planetarium students and staff. "THE SKY WE DON'T SEE"
The show explains why, from North America, there is a portion of the night sky we never see. It then will introduce the audience to the Southern Hemisphere sky. From the fact that there is no "south star" to the different constellation mythologies told in countries like South Africa since they see the constellations up-side-down.

This indoor, public event is held each month to discuss past, present, and future club events and activities as well as Astronomy news. Please see the comments left on this event's page below the map for additional information about the location.

After the meeting, we all go to eat at one of Jenks great restaurants. It's always a great time- my favorite part!
We hope to see you there!!
